Ian Bracegirdle

Director

Ian jointly founded Mothers Art Productions in 1983; this unique organisation’s commitment to creativity and innovation has earned a reputation for excellence in arts production.

Ian’s role includes strategic and project planning, overseeing design, and working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure the successful outcome of projects, both local and international.

Toni Roberts

Development Manager

Toni brings qualifications and experience in education, languages and design. She has developed programs in industry, primary, secondary, trade and tertiary settings. In her role at Mothers Art she takes a leading role in business development, company systems, staff development, and education-related design.

Neridah Wyatt-Spratt

Researcher and Exhibition Producer

Neridah has a Masters in Applied History and a Masters in Museum Studies with extensive experience in large and small scale museum projects from conception through to delivery. Neridah is experienced in exhibition processes from research and development through to conservation and installation.

Michael Ryan

Project Manager

Michael has over 18 years’ experience in the display, sign, exhibition and arts industries, with numerous best exhibition and display awards to his credit. He has completed a Bachelor of Fine Art, and ran his own arts based business for 10 years prior to joining Mothers Art. His recent works cover corporate and government projects both domestic and international.

David Gargiulo

Industrial Designer



Having recently completed a Masters in Design, David joins the creative design team here at
Mothers Art. Specialising in the application of theatre techniques in developing interactions
between people and objects, he brings insightful approaches to the object design and development
process. David’s approach to design and production looks beyond optimal functionality, and toward
thoughtful design for human experience.

Matthew Gardner

Industrial Designer

Matthew graduated with first-class Honours from Swinburne National School of Design in 2005. He then worked designing high-class racing yachts for overseas production, before joining the Mothers Art team as a designer. His skills in designing for efficient construction have led to outstanding results in many projects.

Biggi Spiro

Graphic Designer



Biggi is an innovative graphic designer and nationally acclaimed ceramic artist. She has a degree
in design from the University of Reutlingen in Germany and has studied traditional Japanese
pottery under the tutelage of master potter Morisato Toraku in Kyoto. She has come to Mothers Art
after eight years of running her own graphic design company, and with more than 20 years’
experience in the visual and creative arts.

Larry Sandy

Workshop Manager



Larry is a qualified carpenter with 20 years of experience in the film, television and exhibition
industry, including 3 years in special effects. He has over 10 years’ experience in construction
management, including house construction and fabrication and installation of permanent works.

Oxana Jovcic

Financial Controller

Oxana has extensive experience in accounting for firms in a production environment. Her role involves managing and controlling all financial activity in the company. Oxana is a member of the National Institute of Accountants, and an Associate Member of the CPA.

Other Key Staff


Mothers Art employ up to 20 other staff with skills and qualifications in design, art, carpentry, model making, sculpture, scenic painting and steel work, as well as administration and finance.

Mothers Art supports Swinburne University of Technology School of Design student Industry Placement and place two industrial design students and one graphic design student each year.
